Helmets R Us is a small family owned and operated business. We started making and selling novelty helmets in 1992 in the Daytona Beach area.
At that time there were less than a dozen novelty helmet shops in all of the US and they were all in Florida.
Those few shops supplied the world with novelty helmets.
Like any good thing they were eventually copied and manufactured overseas. Of course we couldn't compete with the near free labor of foreign manufacturers and the continuing high costs of American made materials.
Little by little the local fiberglass shops couldn't survive and shut down one by one.
In 1998 the HelmetsRus web site was created. At first we only sold USA made novelty helmets that we made and a lot of good quality airbrushed and even custom airbrushed novelty helmets.
That lasted a few years until the demand for lower prices due of the growth of the internet made it no longer profitable to continue to offer American hand made custom airbrushed novelty helmets.
Eventually we started offering name brand motorcycle helmets on our web site. We don't have a multi-line telephone answering system. When you call and get switched to our voice mail we are either on the phone with another customer or we are out of the office.

If an error is made on your order before you get all worked up and upset and
start to send nasty threatening demanding emails take a second and try to imagine how you would speak and act if you were face to face with us.
There, that's better. We are real people not just a computer. We don't try to upset you. Our favorite threat is being told by an unhappy
"biker" that he is going to tell all his brothers in his motorcycle club. That one really cracks us
up, we figure if he has any friends at all they already know what an ass he is
so they wouldn't listen to him anyway. Believe me if an error is made, it is not intentional, give us the benefit of the doubt that it was an error and we will correct it within a reasonable time at our expense.
We don't blast you when you order the wrong size helmet, or enter a wrong credit card expiration date on your order. Oh and if you don't get an email confirming your order then you most likely entered an incorrect email address, in that case send us an email asking for an order confirmation. That will give us an email to compare to the one on your order. Get it? Good.
For the quickest response to any question contact us by email, we check our email throughout the day and night and over the weekend.
Include your full name and order number if you have one.
We are an internet retailer, just about any question can be answered

It's easier to send an email at 3 AM than to try to call back during business hours.
One very common error is when an email
address is entered incorrectly on an order.
After you place your order if you don't get a confirmation by email
within a few minutes it is very likely you entered your email address
incorrectly.
Your Order Has Been Declined:
The most common reason for a denied credit card is a wrong expiration date,
double check the card number, expiration date and email address before completing your order.
Also try to use one of our coupon codes. You can save from 5% to 20% depending
